Installing the theme

After you finish setting up your WordPress installation, you have to install this theme. You can do it in two ways:

FTP Upload: Unzip the “APLEX_packages.zip” file and upload the contents folder “aplex_responsive” into the /wp-content/themes folder on your server.

Wordpress Upload: Navigate to Appearance > Add New Themes > Upload. Go to browser, and select the zipped theme folder “aplex_responsive.zip”. Hit “Install Now” and the theme will be uploaded and installed. Once the theme is uploaded, you need to activate it. Go to Appearance > Themes and activate your chosen theme

General Options

After activating APLEX theme, you will notice that a new menu item appeared called APLEX. If you click on it you will find the Theme Options Panel.

  1. Upload Custom logo or Enter Custom Logo URL.
  2. Upload Custom logo or Enter Custom favicon URL 16px x 16px.
  3. Paste your Google Analytics (or other) tracking code here.
  4. Please enter your 404 (Page Not Found) title here.
  5. Please enter your 404 Text here ( text for paragraph below 404 title you can leave it empty it you like).
  6. Please enter your 404 Page Header here.
  7. Please enter you website main Keywords for (SEO).
  8. Please enter you website main Description for (SEO).

Slider Options

Here you can set your website slider setting APELX comes with three options for slider nivo slider, parallax slider and static block with video support (viemo and youtube)

  1. Slider Type Please select your website main slider (Nivo , parallax and static block for vimeo video, youtube viedo or static image )
    2. Nivo Slider Settings
  2. Transition Types : Please select transition types for your slideshow translation effect. Slide transition speed : Please enter speed time for transation (in milliseconds). Slide Paused Time : The duration between each slide transition (in milliseconds). Enable / disable Caption? Enable caption in slide image

Add Slider Item

These are the default steps that you need to do in order to add a Slider post:

  1. Go to Slides > Add New
  2. Enter a title and some content
  3. Select a post category
  4. Click on “Set featured image” to upload image for this slide Once the image is uploaded, click “Use as featured image”.
  5. Below you will find slides option to set Custom Slides URL (this optional if you want to lead slide to custom pages or external link)
